Short Movie Project #11

Why I want to be a teacher?!?

When I read Carly Pugh's  blog post I was filled with a renewal of why I want to be a teacher. She hit the nail right on the head when she said, "you don't have to have some BIG idea, just think different." I am a mother of an adhd child and Carly spoke about her add, children who have so many ideas in their heads need an educator who can facilitate learning for all students and especially those with a wealth of curiosity spewing from all angles. I have a gift of patience where many would be uptight and ordered, I am willing to hear what others have to offer to a situation. I take psychologist Howard Gardner's stance on multiple intelligences. His theory allows that all students have intellectual strengths and abilities in one area or another. I believe that everyone is able to learn if given a chance. I want to build confidences just as strongly as I build vocabulary, I want to share my joy of life with All of my students not just the ones who make my job easy.
